Fishing in Río Zuñac & Barbecue

Looking for a different experience during your stay in Baños? Join us for a fishing activity in the Río Zuñac, followed by a traditional barbecue.

Activity Details

We will pick you up at your hotel in Baños at the scheduled time and head to the Rio Zuñac Reserve. Upon arrival, all necessary equipment will be provided to explore the river in search of the renowned carachama (pineapple pleco fish) and wels catfish.

You will learn a traditional fishing method, using wires and your own hands to catch fish, allowing you to experience local culture. After the fishing session, we'll determine who caught the most fish.

To celebrate, we will take you to the town of Río Negro for a barbecue-style lunch with a local family. This authentic experience is set in a lush environment, allowing you to enjoy the fish you caught.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Baños, concluding this 4-hour activity.
