Quilotoa Lake Excursion

At around 7 to 8 am, our journey begins with the pickup from your accommodation in Baños de Agua Santa, setting our course for Quilotoa. The trip lasts approximately two and a half hours, taking us along the celebrated Calle de los Volcanes, a scenic route showcasing some of the most significant volcanoes in the Andes.

Upon reaching the entrance of Quilotoa Lake, we’ll embark on a thirty-minute hike to this enchanting body of water, famous for its vibrant turquoise hue. The sight is sure to captivate you!

Next, we will visit the Shalala viewpoint, which provides breathtaking panoramas of the entire lagoon and its stunning surroundings. Following this stop, we’ll begin our return journey to the vehicle, which will take about an hour and a half.

On our way back to the hotel, we will have the opportunity to dive into the customs and lifestyles of the local Indigenous communities. We anticipate returning around 4 pm.
