Tungurahua Volcano Day Excursion

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Baños de Agua Santa between 7 and 8 am. We will then travel towards the Tungurahua Volcano, affectionately known as "La Mama Tungurahua," which rises to 16,480 feet (5,023 meters) above sea level.

Following a 1-hour bus journey, we will reach the starting point for our hike. Here, you will begin a trek through one of Ecuador's most breathtaking regions. Let’s set off!

The ascent will take approximately 3 hours, during which you will witness the distinctive flora and fauna of the Andean highlands. Upon reaching the mountain shelter, we will pause for a picnic lunch, enjoying magnificent views of the surroundings of the Tungurahua Volcano.

After exploring the area and taking in the stunning panoramic vistas, we will return via bus to your hotel, arriving around 4 pm.
