Catalonia Medieval Villages Day Trip Itinerary
On the morning of your tour, you'll be picked up from your selected meeting point in Lloret de Mar and board an air-conditioned bus for your tour of the Medieval villages of Catalonia. The first stop will be Rupit, in Girona province.
After approximately an hour and a half's drive, you'll arrive in Rupit, where you will have free time to explore its cobblestone streets and experience its unique charm. Make sure to cross the famous hanging bridge. In Rupit, you'll also enjoy a lunch of typical local delicacies.
After exploring Rupit, you'll return to the bus to visit the Santuari de la Mare de Déu del Far, a historic church situated over 1000 metres (over 3200 feet) high, offering excellent views of the Girona landscape.
The next stop is Besalú, another Medieval village with significant historical value. You'll have time to visit its attractions at your own pace, including the 12th century Romanesque bridge, the Miqvé or Jewish baths, and the church-monastery of Sant Pere.
At the end of your trip, you'll return to Lloret de Mar, arriving back at your meeting point around 7 pm.
