Catalonia Medieval Villages Day Trip Itinerary
On the morning of your tour, you'll be picked up from your selected meeting point in Lloret de Mar and board a comfortable air-conditioned bus for your tour of the Medieval villages of Catalonia. The first stop will be Rupit, in the province of Girona.
After approximately an hour and a half drive, you'll arrive in this Medieval village, where you'll have free time to explore its cobblestone streets and enjoy its charm. Remember to cross its famous hanging bridge. In Rupit, you will have a delicious lunch of typical local delicacies to recharge for the next part of your tour.
After your visit to Rupit, you'll return to the bus and head to the Santuari de la Mare de Déu del Far, a historic church located at over 1000 meters (more than 3200 feet), offering views over the natural scenery of Girona.
Next, you'll visit Besalú, another Medieval village rich in history. You will have time to see beautiful sites at your own pace, including the 12th century Romanesque bridge; the Miqvé or Jewish baths; and the church-monastery of Sant Pere.
At the end of your day trip, you'll return to Lloret de Mar, arriving back at the meeting point at around 7 pm.
