Lodz Private Tour
At your chosen time, we will meet at the main entrance of Planetarium EC1 to commence a private tour of Lodz focused on its commercial history.
The tour will begin in the industrial area, where you will learn about the city's prosperity as the textile production center of the Russian Empire, attracting many Jews and Germans in the 19th century.
The first stop will be Ulica Piotrkowska Street, a 4-kilometer boulevard filled with museums, bars, theatres, and shops. Despite suffering damage during the Second World War, restoration efforts since 1990 have revitalized it as the central artery of Lodz.
At the end of the avenue, you will visit Izrael Palace Pozna?ski, a neo-Renaissance and neo-Baroque structure built from the cotton industry’s success. It houses the city museum, featuring a significant numismatic collection, sculptures, manuscripts, and graphics.
Next, we will proceed to Manufaktura, a large red brick shopping center that was once the exploitation complex of businessman Izrael Pozna?ski. You will admire its unique structure, including the main door of the former spinning mill that resembles a triumphal arch.
The tour concludes after four hours.
