Podocarpus National Park and Vilcamba Tour

At 8:30 am we’ll pick you up at your hotel in Loja and board the minibus for an excursion around the city. The first stop on the route will be the Podocarpus National Park, the natural jewel of this area of Ecuador.

We will appreciate the biodiversity of the place and get to know the native species while following the Bear Route. During the hike through Podocarpus Park, we will see waterfalls, valleys, viewpoints, and exotic plants.

Afterwards, we will head to Vilcabamba to explore this parish of Loja, located in the Valley of Longevity. Its inhabitants are reputed to be the longest-living people in the world. We will discover its main tourist attractions, concentrated in the Plaza de la Iglesia.

On the way to Loja, we’ll make a brief stop in Malacatos, known for its blue and white church. After a short walk, we’ll return to the minibus and head back to Loja, arriving at 2:30 pm.
