At 8:30 am we’ll pick you up at your hotel in Loja and board the minibus for an excursion around the city. The first stop will be the Podocarpus National Park, a key natural area in Ecuador.

We’ll hike the Bear Route to appreciate the biodiversity including waterfalls, valleys, viewpoints, and native plants. Bring your camera.

Next, we will go to Vilcabamba, located in the Valley of Longevity, where residents are known for their longevity. We will explore the main attractions centered around the Plaza de la Iglesia.

On the way back to Loja, we’ll stop in Malacatos, a town famous for coffee and sugar cane, to visit its notable blue and white church. After a brief walk, we will return to Loja, arriving at 2:30 pm.
