With the PADI Open Water Scuba Diving course, you'll learn to dive around Gili Trawangan, Indonesia.
PADI Open Water Diving Course
This 3 day course is designed to teach scuba diving in open waters. The theoretical part takes place at the scuba diving center at the Gili Trawangan's Pesona Beach Resort & Spa hotel. The course follows the PADI Open Water training guidelines, culminating in an official certificate. On the first day, training includes five videos on underwater situations and prior training with equipment in the center's pool.
Once instructors assess the group's readiness, the next two days involve 4 submersions in Gili Trawangan's open waters. One day includes two dives to a maximum depth of 12 metres, while the following day features two more dives of up to 18 metres. Look forward to encountering marine fauna like octopus and clownfish.
Who can join this activity?
Before diving, participants must complete a form certifying physical fitness. To join the course, two tests must be completed at the scuba diving center's pool: a 10-minute float and a swim of 200 metres without assistance or 300 metres with a mask and snorkel tube.
Taxes not included
The local tax is not included; it is 100,000 Indonesian rupiah per person (approx 8 USD), payable in cash on the first day.
