On this tour, we'll visit one of England's most famous cathedrals, the world's best-known megalithic monument, and the oldest inhabited castle in the world.
Stonehenge, Salisbury and Windsor Day Trip
We'll meet in the centre of London at 7:45 am. Our first stop will be Windsor Castle, the oldest inhabited castle in the world. Here, you'll have free time to explore its halls, view artworks from Rembrandt and Rubens, and visit St. George's Chapel, where Henry VIII is laid to rest.
After Windsor, we'll travel west to Salisbury, where Stonehenge, the world's most famous megalithic monument, is located. Built over 5,000 years ago with stones weighing over 40 tonnes, its original purpose remains a mystery.
Next, we will visit Salisbury, known for its cathedral, built 800 years ago and standing 123 metres high. The cathedral houses the world's oldest working clock and the best-preserved copy of the Magna Carta in the chapter house, a foundational document for English parliamentary law.
Finally, we'll return to the centre of London, arriving around 6:30 pm. We'll drop you off a few minutes' walk from Gloucester Road, near South Kensington tube station.
Important
As Windsor Castle is a functioning Royal Palace, it may occasionally be closed. Please note that visit duration is limited due to travel time.
