Glass Bottom Boat Tour
On the day of the activity, we'll meet at Shoreline Village Drive at the indicated time. There, we'll board a glass bottom boat and embark on this journey. All aboard!
As we set sail through the Port of Long Beach, we'll observe the thriving ecosystems in this area. We'll explore the "shallow water habitat" near the breakwall, where we can watch fish swimming below and around the boat. Throughout the tour, we'll learn about the effects of water pollution on underwater wildlife and the importance of pollution prevention.
Next, we'll pass by the kelp beds, known for their seaweed. Keep your eyes peeled for marine life hiding there!
As we cruise through Long Beach Harbor, we'll sail past the iconic RMS Queen Mary, retired in Long Bay since 1967, while learning about its history.
Finally, after an hour of exploring the ecosystems in the Port of Long Beach, above and beneath the waterline, we'll return to shore to conclude the tour.
