Ria Formosa Bike Tour
At 10 am, we'll meet up in front of The Shack restaurant in Almancil. From there, we will begin a 12-mile bike tour through the Ria Formosa Natural Park. This route will lead us to various enchanting corners of the park.
The estuary features a labyrinth of channels, marshes, and sandbanks. Throughout the tour, you will learn about the significance of this natural environment and may encounter local wildlife, including seahorses, flamingos, and waterdogs.
We will also observe several salt flats, discussing the local fishing tradition and the ways people work in this environment.
The bike tour concludes back at the starting point at approximately 12:30 pm.
