Details of the Day Trip

We will gather at the designated bus parking area in Landenberg, from where we will set off southward towards one of Switzerland's most picturesque regions.

Our journey begins with a drive through Entlebuch, recognized as a biosphere reserve. After enjoying the scenic views of this intriguing landscape, we'll make a stop in the quaint village of Trubschachen to tour the renowned Kambly biscuit factory. Here, we'll discover the artistry behind their delicious treats, followed by a tasting session.

Next, we will proceed to the capital city for a guided walking tour through the historic center of Bern. As we wander through the enchanting Old Town, designated a World Heritage Site, we'll admire the façades of iconic landmarks such as the Bern Minster Cathedral and the Zytglogge clock tower. We will also take a moment to appreciate the Bundeshaus and the Federal Palace of Switzerland, situated along the picturesque banks of the Aare River.

At the conclusion of our guided exploration of Bern, you will have an hour of leisure time to relax, shop, or enjoy a beverage. Following this break, we will reconvene in the city center to continue our journey to the outskirts, where we will visit an Emmentaler cheese factory. Here, we’ll discover the process behind one of Switzerland's most celebrated products, complete with a tasting opportunity.

After the cheese tasting, we'll visit a local dairy farm for a chance to capture photos with the iconic Swiss cows. On clear days, you may even be fortunate enough to view the stunning alpine peaks of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau.

We will conclude our adventure by returning to the starting point in Lucerne, wrapping up this enriching day trip after approximately 8 hours and 45 minutes.
