Grindelwald & First Mountain Day Trip

If you want to make the most out of the Swiss Alps, then you can't miss this trip from Lucerne, which will allow you to visit the town of Grindelwald and the top of the iconic First Mountain. You'll love it!

Day Trip Details

From the bus parking lot in Landenberg in Lucerne, we will meet and depart by bus towards the Berna canton. A brief stop will be made for photos of Interlaken, located between the two lakes of Thun and Brienz.

Next, we proceed to Grindelwald. Upon arrival, you will receive your tickets for the return train to Interlaken and the cable car to First Mountain, reaching a height of 2100 metres (6,889 ft). You will have 3 hours of free time at First Mountain for dining and enjoying the landscape. The ticket also includes access to the First View observation platform and the Cliff Walk by Tissot, which extends 40 metres (131 ft).

Ensure to return via cable car to Grindelwald in time for your scheduled return train to Interlaken. After our trip, we will return by bus to the meeting point in Lucerne, completing the tour in approximately 10 hours.

First Flyer Zipline

This zipline operates 800 metres (2,624 ft) above ground, reaching speeds of 84 kilometres an hour (52 mph), covering the distance between First Mountain and Schreckelf Station.

This zipline, shaped like an eagle, allows 4 people to ride together.

First Mountain Car

This pedal-powered vehicle takes you from First Mountain to Bort over a route of about 3 kilometres (1.86 miles).

Trottibike Scooter

This electric bike can be used to travel from First Mountain to Grindelwald Station.

Tour Guide

This tour is partially guided, with the guide present on the bus ride from Lucerne to Grindelwald and the return trip. During free time in Grindelwald and First Mountain, as well as on the train journey, no guide will be present, but necessary information will be provided for your enjoyment of these locations.
