Grindelwald & First Mountain Excursion

If you want to make the most out of the Swiss Alps, do not miss this trip from Lucerne, visiting the town of Grindelwald and the top of the iconic First Mountain.

Description

Meet at Frankenstrasse 2 – 4 in Lucerne at the scheduled time for a bus ride towards the Berna canton. A brief stop will be made at Interlaken for photo opportunities. Next, arrive at Grindelwald, where you will receive tickets for the return train to Interlaken and for the cable car to First Mountain, reaching a height of 2100 metres (6,889 ft).

Enjoy 3 hours of free time at First Mountain for meals and sightseeing. With the cable car ticket, visit the First View observation platform and the Cliff Walk by Tissot suspension bridge, extending 40 metres (131 ft). Return to Grindelwald in time to catch the scheduled return train to Interlaken. The trip concludes after 10 hours back in Lucerne.

First Flyer Zipline

Located 800 metres (2,624 ft) above ground, this zipline reaches 84 kilometres an hour (52 mph).

First Mountain Car

This pedal-powered vehicle travels from First Mountain to Bort, covering around 3 kilometres (1.86 miles).

Trottibike Scooter

An electric bike to travel from First Mountain to Grindelwald Station.

Guide

This tour is partially guided. A guide will be present on the bus ride from Lucerne to Grindelwald and during the return trip. Throughout free time in Grindelwald and First Mountain, and on the train journey, the guide will not be present, but necessary information will be provided for independent exploration.
