Guided Mount Pilatus Golden Round Trip
Meet in Lucerne at 12:30 pm and embark on a journey to Kriens, where the "golden round trip" begins on the panoramic gondolas to Fräkmüntegg. Enjoy a half-hour ride with views of the forests and valleys.
Upon reaching Fräkmüntegg, take the Dragon Ride, an aerial cableway offering views over the Swiss Alps.
At the peak of Mount Pilatus, explore the Dragon's Trail or walk to the summit. Visit the observation terrace for views and enjoy Alpine cuisine at leisure.
After your visit, descend to Alpnachstad on the world's steepest cogwheel train, followed by an hour-long boat cruise on the Lake of the Four Cantons. The tour concludes back in Lucerne at 6 pm.
Itinerary Changes
The itinerary will be modified between the following dates in 2024:
Dragon Ride cable car: Closed for maintenance between October 21st and November 8th, 2024. Ascent and descent will use the cogwheel train.Cogwheel train: From November 9th to 15th, 2024, ascent to Pilatus Mountain will be via gondolas and descent by cogwheel train.Boat trip: If the boat is unavailable between October 21st and November 15th, 2024, a meal ticket (20CHF per adult and 10CHF per child) will be provided.
