Swiss Museum of Transport

Located in Lucerne, on the shores of Lake Lucerne, the Verkehrshaus or Swiss Museum of Transport is the most visited museum in Switzerland.

With your ticket, you'll discover the past, present and future of mobility. The different rooms of the permanent exhibition will give you an insight into the evolution of public transport, from the first infrastructures to the most modern technology.

One of the most notable areas is dedicated to rail transport, featuring Swiss SBB trains and the history of the Gotthard Tunnel, previously the longest in the world when completed in 1882. The land transport section includes a large collection of vehicles and a Formula 1 simulator, while air and space travel exhibits, along with sea and river transport, are also featured.

April to September: 10 am to 6 pm.October to March: 10 am to 5 pm.
