Edfu & Kom Ombo Day Trip Itinerary

After being picked up from your hotel or boat in Luxor, you'll follow the course of the River Nile south towards Upper Egypt. Your first stop will be Edfu, visiting the Temple of Horus. You will learn about the legends of this falcon-headed deity through the inscriptions on the columns, showcasing the conflict between Horus and Seth, as well as details on the temple’s construction.

After lunch at a local restaurant in Edfu, you'll proceed to Kom Ombo. This site features a unique temple dedicated to two deities: Sobek and Haroeris. Inside, you'll experience an impressive hypostyle hall with elaborately engraved columns. Adjacent to the temple is the Crocodile Museum, which exhibits mummified crocodiles, sacred in Ancient Egypt.

At the end of the tour, you will return to Luxor, arriving approximately 10 hours after the initial pickup.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup and drop-off from hotels and boats in Luxor on the Eastern Shore of the River Nile. You will be dropped off at the same location as the pickup. For hotels or boats on the Western Bank, a meeting point will be arranged on the East Bank.
