Edfu & Kom Ombo Day Trip Itinerary

After pickup from your hotel or boat in Luxor, you'll follow the course of the River Nile south to Upper Egypt.

The first stop will be Edfu, where you'll visit the Temple of Horus. Explore the legends surrounding this falcon-headed deity through the inscriptions carved into the columns of the temple. The hieroglyphs depict scenes of the conflict between Horus and Seth, as well as details on the temple's construction.

After lunch at a local restaurant in Edfu, you'll proceed to Kom Ombo. This temple is unusual as it is dedicated to two deities: Sobek and Haroeris. Inside, the hypostyle hall features elaborately engraved columns, creating a unique atmosphere.

Adjacent to the temple, visit the Crocodile Museum, which exhibits mummified reptiles, considered sacred in Ancient Egypt.

Your guided tour concludes with the return journey to Luxor, arriving 10 hours after the initial pickup.

This activity only includes pickup and drop-off from hotels and boats in Luxor on the Eastern Shore of the River Nile. Return will be to the same location as pickup.
