On this guided tour of the Temple of Karnak, we will explore this sanctuary dedicated to Amun, the main center of worship in Ancient Egypt. This is essential for visitors in Luxor.
Karnak Temple Guided Tour
We will meet at the entrance of the Temple of Karnak at the scheduled time to begin the guided tour. The tour will cover the largest temple in the country, constructed by pharaohs such as Hatshepsut, Seti I, Ramses II, and Ramses III between 2200 and 360 BC. Within the Karnak complex, there are various temples, chapels, and a large sacred lake, a significant attraction.
The highlight of the Temple of Karnak is the famous Hypostyle Hall, featuring 134 columns notable for their size and condition. Visitors will find it an impressive sight.
Additionally, we will walk along the Avenue of the Sphinxes, leading to the Temple of Luxor, where we will discuss the significance of the ram-headed sphinxes guarding the area.
