Karnak Temple Guided Tour
On this guided tour of the Temple of Karnak, we will explore the sanctuary dedicated to Amun, the main center of worship in Ancient Egypt.
We will meet at the entrance of the Temple of Karnak and begin our exploration of this significant site. The tour will include visits to the largest temple in Egypt, built by pharaohs such as Hatshepsut, Seti I, Ramses II, and Ramses III between 2200 and 360 BC. The Karnak complex includes various temples, multiple chapels, and a large sacred lake.
A key highlight of the Temple of Karnak is the Hypostyle Hall, which features 134 columns known for their impressive size and preservation. Additionally, we will walk along the Avenue of the Sphinxes leading to the Temple of Luxor, discussing the significance of the ram-headed sphinxes that protect this site.
The tour lasts two hours, after which we will conclude at the starting point.
