On this visit, we'll see the Luxor Museum and the Museum of Mummification, the two most important museums in Egypt after the Cairo Egyptian Museum.
Itinerary
Having picked you up at your hotel or the boat where you're staying, we'll head to the Luxor Museum, the second most visited museum in the country. This museum contains pieces excavated from historically significant sites in the region, such as the Luxor and Karnak temples. The collection includes jewels, ceramics, statues, and stone tablets. Notable items include objects belonging to Tutankhamun, the statue of Thutmose III, and the Karnak temple mural.
Our next stop will be the Mummification Museum, protected by the god Anubis. Inaugurated in 1997, this museum explains the 70-day mummification process and describes the origins of the instruments used and the social exclusion faced by those who worked on the bodies.
After this informative visit, we'll return you to your hotel.
Pickup
This activity includes pickup and drop-off from hotels and boats in Luxor along the Nile River's eastern riverbanks. If your hotel or boat is located on the Nile River's western riverbanks, we'll contact you regarding a meeting point along the western banks.
