Luxor Museum and Museum of Mummification Guided Tour

On this visit, we'll see the Luxor Museum and the Museum of Mummification, the two most visited museums in Egypt after the Cairo Egyptian Museum.

Itinerary

We will pick you up at your hotel or boat for a visit to the Luxor Museum, which contains numerous artifacts excavated from historically significant sites in the area, including the Luxor and Karnak temples. The collection features jewels, ceramics, statues, and stone tablets, with notable pieces from Tutankhamun, a statue of Thutmose III, and a mural from the Karnak temple.

Next, we will visit the Mummification Museum, inaugurated in 1997. This museum explains the 70-day mummification process, detailing the origins of various instruments used and discussing the social exclusion faced by individuals involved in the mummification.

After this insightful visit, we will return you to your hotel.

This activity includes pickup and drop-off from hotels and boats in Luxor along the Nile River's eastern riverbanks. If your accommodation is located on the western banks, we will coordinate a meeting point along that side.
