On this excursion, we will visit the famous necropolis of ancient Thebes, home to tombs of notable pharaohs such as Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Ramses III, Set I, along with queens like Nefertari.
Itinerary
After picking you up from your hotel, boat, or train station, we will head to the east bank, where the necropolis is located.
Our first stop is the Valley of the Kings, a vast necropolis containing more than 60 tombs. Thutmose I was the first king buried here, making it the resting place for significant rulers including Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Ramses III, and Set I. We will explore their most notable tombs during the visit.
Next, we will visit the Valley of the Queens, where the tombs of princesses and wives of the New Kingdom pharaohs are located. You can visit Nefertari's tomb, although the entry fee for this tomb is not included.
Our next site is the Temple of Hatshepsut, dedicated to the only woman who ruled Egypt extensively. This unique temple is partly carved from rock and features terraces designed by architect Sennenmut.
Lastly, we will stop at the Colossi of Memnon, representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III, overlooking the Nile and the sunrise.
The tour concludes at the pickup point.
