On this excursion, we'll visit the most famous necropolis of ancient Thebes, where you can find the tombs of pharaohs such as Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Ramses III, Set I, and queens like Nefertari.
Itinerary
We will pick you up at your hotel, boat, or train station in the morning and head to the east bank, home to the famous necropolis.
Our first stop is the Valley of the Kings, containing more than 60 tombs carved into the rock, beginning with Thutmose I. Important kings such as Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Ramses III, and Set I are buried here. We will see the most notable tombs.
Next, we will visit the Valley of the Queens, where the tombs of princesses and wives of Pharaohs of the New Kingdom are located. You can visit the tomb of Nefertari, Ramses II's favorite wife (entry fee for this tomb is not included).
We will then proceed to the Temple of Hatshepsut, dedicated to the only woman who ruled Egypt for an extended period. This temple, designed by architect Sennenmut, is partially carved into the rock and features terraces.
Our final stop in Luxor will be the Colossi of Memnon, two statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III overlooking the Nile.
The tour concludes at the pickup point.
