Valley of the Kings and Queens, Colossus & Hatshepsut Tour

On this day tour, we'll visit the famous necropolis of ancient Thebes, home to the tombs of pharaohs including Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Ramses III, Set I, and queens like Nefertari.

Activity Details

We will pick you up from your hotel, boat, or train station early in the morning and head to the east bank to visit the necropolis.

Our first stop is the Valley of the Kings, which contains more than 60 tombs excavated in the rocks, beginning with Thutmose I's burial. Significant tombs, including those of Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Ramses III, and Set I, will be shown during the visit.

Next, we visit the Valley of the Queens, which has the tombs of princesses and wives of the Pharaohs of the New Kingdom, including the tomb of Nefertari, Ramses II's favorite wife (note that entry to this tomb is not included).

Afterward, we stop at the Temple of Hatshepsut, dedicated to Egypt's only female ruler for a substantial period, known for its unique architectural design by Sennenmut, incorporating both rock-carved and terraced elements.

Finally, we will see the Colossi of Memnon, two large stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, which overlook the Nile and the rising sun.

The tour concludes with a return to the pickup point.

Hotel Pickup

This activity includes pickup and drop-off only at hotels and boats located on the eastern banks of the Nile in Luxor. You will be returned to the same spot as pickup.

If your accommodation is on the western banks, we will confirm a meeting point on the eastern side.
