Discover some of the best-conserved funeral monuments of the New Kingdom on this tour, visiting the burial site of Ramses III and the necropolis of the nobles and artisans.

Itinerary

The tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in the morning, proceeding to the west bank of Luxor, home to the necropolis of ancient Thebes.

First, we will visit Medinet Habu, where the burial temple of Ramses III is located. This significant religious monument features a 63 meters wide and 22 meters tall entrance with depictions of the pharaoh punishing prisoners.

Next, we will explore the Valley of the Nobles, which contains over 500 tombs belonging to Egyptian aristocracy. We will enter several tombs to view their decorations, which are often better preserved than those of the royal tombs due to being less targeted by grave robbers.

Our final destination will be Deir el-Medina, a town established by Thutmose I for workers and artisans. For more than 450 years, this community housed the builders and decorators of royal tombs, and archaeological findings reflect its historical significance.

The tour concludes with a return to your hotel or the boat where you are staying.

Pickup

This tour includes pickup & drop-off only at hotels and boats on the eastern banks (Right side) of the River Nile. Return will be to the original pickup location.
