Rhone Valley Wine & Cheese Tasting
We'll meet in front of the Lyon Tourist Office at 2 pm. From there, you'll board a minibus to explore the Rhône Valley and its wines and cheeses, passing through the Côte-Rôtie and the Pilat Regional Nature Park with some of the oldest vineyards in France.
After a 30-minute drive, we'll reach a typical farm in the park to meet a goat cheese producer. You'll enjoy a walk through the farm to see the goats and the cheeses they produce.
After sampling cheese, we'll visit a nearby winery for a tasting of 5 local wines, each paired with a different cheese. The wines include notable appellations from the area: Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, and Saint-Joseph.
The tour concludes with a return to the Lyon Tourist Office, Place Bellecour at around 6 pm.
