When you hire your boat with a skipper in Maafushi, you can sail through the Indian Ocean while enjoying the scenery of the atolls. You will have a private boat for just you and your group.
Description
In your booking, you can choose between two options that explore beautiful atolls in the Maldives, including hotel pickup and drop-off, private boat hire with a skipper, snorkelling equipment, and lunch.
Vaavu Atoll boat trip
Pickup will be from your hotel in Maafushi at 9 am, proceeding to the harbour for your boat trip through the waters of the Maldives. The skipper will manage the sailing to Vaavu Atoll, where snorkelling equipment will be provided for swimming with nurse sharks, jacks, and dolphins. You will also see corals along the longest uninterrupted reef in the country, extending 34 miles (55 kilometres). Drinks and a barbecue lunch will be included during the 6 hours and 30 minutes of cruising.
South Ari boat trip
Pickup will occur at the scheduled time from your hotel in Maafushi, taking you to the harbour and then sailing through the Indian Ocean to South Ari Atoll, which features 105 islands. In a quiet area, a snorkelling mask will be provided for searching for giant whale sharks and potentially spotting manta rays and dolphins. A delicious barbecue lunch will be provided during this activity.
Vaavu Atoll + Shipwreck boat trip
Upon pickup from your hotel in Maafushi, you will head to the port to start your adventure. The first stop will be at Shipwreck, where you can snorkel around the sunken ship Victory, present in the Malé Atoll since 1981. Then, you'll visit Vaavu Atoll for more snorkelling alongside nurse sharks, fish, and dolphins, and a stop at a sandbank for relaxation. After lunch, the tour concludes, marking the end of your six-and-a-half-hour adventure.
