We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Machala at 9:30 am and head to the historic centre of this city. Machala is the capital of the province of El Oro. The guided tour will begin with a walk through the Central Park, featuring several fountains, and observations of the Municipality building and the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de la Merced.
Next, we will go to the Plaza de la Inmaculada to see the Clock Tower, which was commissioned to a European company in the early 20th century. Following this, we'll stroll along Calle Lourdes, a wide avenue with historic buildings.
To conclude our guided tour, we will enjoy a panoramic view of the residential area and visit the nearby Wind Park. Here, we will learn about the operation of its 11 giant propellers supplying energy to the city, before returning to the hotels in Machala. Arrival is scheduled at 12:30 pm.
