2-Day Trek to Machu Picchu

Day 1

Pick-up is scheduled for your hotel in Urubamba at 6 am. We will travel by bus to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to kilometer 104, the starting point of the shorter version of the Inca Trail.

After arrival, a 3-hour hike will take us to Chachabamba and Wiñayhuayna, an important archaeological site. A picnic lunch will be provided before continuing to Inti Punko, the Sun Gate.

At this viewpoint, we will see Machu Picchu and watch the sunset, taking photos. We will then take a bus to Aguas Calientes, check into a hotel, and rest until the following day.

Day 2

Breakfast will be at the hotel before taking a bus to Machu Picchu for a 2.5-hour guided tour. The guide will share insights about the citadel, and you will have free time to explore. After the tour, we will regroup at a determined time, take a bus back to Aguas Calientes, where lunch can be enjoyed. In the afternoon, a train will take us to Ollantaytambo, and we will drop you off at your hotel in Urubamba by 9:30 pm.

Accommodation

The tour includes one night's accommodation in a 3-star hotel in Aguas Calientes, varying by season or availability.

If the activity is cancelled due to strikes or adverse weather, an alternative tour date will be provided. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued, excluding the non-cancellable Inca Trail entrance fees (approx. 292 PEN).
