4-Day Trek to Machu Picchu

Day 1: Urubamba - Lares - Cuncani

The adventure begins with a pick-up at your hotel in Urubamba and a drive to our 4-day hike along the Lares Valley. First, we will stop at the Calca market for snacks, followed by a visit to the natural pools in Lares for swimming. Afterwards, we will enjoy a lunch featuring regional dishes before heading to Cuncani for our first night’s campsite.

Day 2: Cuncani - Pumahuanca Pass - Paccha

We will have an early breakfast and start our hike toward Sahuasiray Mountain. Weather permitting, we will enjoy panoramic views from the summit. After our descent through a polypepi forest, we will stop for lunch before arriving at our last stop, Paccha, for dinner and camping.

Day 3: Paccha - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes

Beginning with breakfast at camp, we will visit a local fish farm and learn about the regional trade of rainbow trout. After lunch, we will travel by car to Ollantaytambo station, then take a train to Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night at a 3-star hotel and enjoy dinner.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Urubamba

On our final day, we start with a breakfast at the hotel and head to Machu Picchu for a two-hour visit. After exploring, we will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch, before taking a train back to Ollantaytambo. Finally, a car will drop you back at your hotel in Urubamba.

Accommodation

The tour includes 2 nights of accommodation in tents with breakfast at the Cuncani and Paccha campsites, and one night of accommodation with breakfast in a 3-star hotel in Aguas Calientes.
