4-Day Trek to Machu Picchu

Day 1: Urubamba - Lares - Cuncani

Pick-up will be at your hotel in Urubamba at the indicated time, heading towards the starting point of our 4-day hike along the Lares Valley.

The first stop will be the Calca market for snacks. Next, we'll visit the natural pools in Lares for a swim, followed by a regional lunch. Then, we’ll proceed to Cuncani for our first night's campsite.

Day 2: Cuncani - Pumahuanca Pass - Paccha

After an early breakfast, we will hike towards the Sahuasiray Mountain. If the weather permits, we will see beautiful panoramic views from the summit.

We will descend through a forest and reach the Pumahuanca Pass, which rises to 5,318 meters. After lunch, we will proceed to Paccha for dinner and an overnight at the campsite.

Day 3: Paccha - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes

We'll start with breakfast at camp before continuing our hike. A visit to a local fish farm will give insights into fish hatcheries.

After lunch, we'll travel by car to Ollantaytambo station and take a train to Aguas Calientes, where we'll stay in a 3-star hotel and enjoy dinner.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Urubamba

Begin with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before visiting Machu Picchu for two hours, allowing plenty of time for photography.

Afterwards, return to Aguas Calientes for lunch, then catch the train back to Ollantaytambo. A car will take you back to your hotel in Urubamba.
