Description
Your hotel pickup will occur at the scheduled time, after which we will head to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop is the charming village of Maras, known for its colonial architecture. Next, we will visit the archaeological site of Moray, situated at 3500 meters (11,500 feet) above sea level, believed to have served as an experimental farm for the Incas. Here, we will observe the unique amphitheater of circular terraces.
Following this, we will visit a viewpoint to admire the salt mines of Maras, originating from the Inca era, which feature over 3 thousand salt ponds owned by local families. The salt is iodized during the dry season for commercial sale.
After the tour, we will return to the meeting point to conclude our trip.
