When booking, you can choose a train type for your journey from Machu Picchu to Cusco, lasting three and a half to four hours.
Expedition train
Aboard the Expedition train, you'll experience one of the most spectacular train routes in the world with large windows for scenic views. Peruvian music enhances the journey to Cusco.

Vistadome train

Rainy season
From January to April, train services to Cusco may not operate regularly. Reservations can be made directly from Ollantaytambo.
Limited availability
This activity is highly sought after, and ticket availability is limited. Booking in advance is recommended. Official tickets will be sent within 72 hours after reservation.
Bimodal bus + train service
Until April 30, 2024, services from Poroy and San Pedro will operate as a bimodal service (bus + train). Passengers must arrive at Wanchaq station at least 30 minutes before departure.
Trains on the Ollantaytambo - Machu Picchu - Ollantaytambo route will operate normally.
