Expedition train

Vistadome train

Choose the Vistadome train for a fun and original travel experience. Panoramic windows on the walls and ceilings immerse you in the surrounding nature, while recorded commentary shares insights about the passing landscapes. Enjoy Peruvian music, dances, and a collection of baby alpaca garments onboard.

Arrival stations

Select your preferred arrival station in Cusco: Wanchaq, San Pedro, or Poroy, each offering different arrival times.

Rainy season

During January to April, trains to and from Cusco have irregular schedules. Book your activity directly from Ollantaytambo during this period.

Limited availability

Due to limited capacity, tickets for these popular trains are limited. Book in advance to secure your spot. Official tickets will be sent within 72 hours of reservation.

Bimodal bus + train service

Until April 30, 2024, Poroy and San Pedro stations offer a bimodal service (bus + train) due to operational issues. PeruRail buses transfer passengers between Wanchaq and Ollantaytambo stations for Vistadome and Expedition services.

Passengers must arrive at Wanchaq station at least 30 minutes in advance with their tickets for the bimodal service. Trains on the Ollantaytambo - Machu Picchu route operate without changes.
