Having met up at the designated time at the Terminal Marítimo da Madalena, we'll set off from this western point on the island for the plains further inland.

During our journey, we'll cross a beautiful set of mountains and lakes that will give us insight into the island of Pico, full of volcanoes and craters. We'll stop at a viewpoint in the area to enjoy the views and take photos.

We'll stop for a tasty picnic lunch, including a sandwich or salad, fruit, a cereal bar, water, and juice.

After eating, we'll visit the Casa dos Vulcões Centre of Interpretation to learn about volcanic activity.

Subsequently, we'll explore additional lakes and volcanoes on Pico Island, far from busy cities, perfect for enjoying the scenery of the Azores.

We'll then return to the meeting point in Madalena, arriving approximately 8 hours after our departure.
