On this day trip to Cuenca, we'll visit the Cathedral and the old town's main landmarks, including the Hanging Houses of Cuenca.
Tour Details
We will meet at Plaza Conde Casal in Madrid at the scheduled time and take a bus to Cuenca, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Upon arrival, a panoramic bus tour will take us through Hoz del Huécar, showcasing the Hanging Houses, St. Peter's Convent, and Posada de San José.
Next, we will head to the Castillo neighborhood for a walking tour, where we will see Plaza Mayor and visit Nuestra Señora de Gracia Cathedral. After exploring the Cathedral, you will have 1.5 hours of free time for lunch in Plaza Mayor, with various local restaurants available.
Following lunch, we will visit the Hanging Houses, home to the Museum of Abstract Art, featuring works by 20th-century Spanish artists like Chillida, Feito, and Tapies. The trip will conclude with a return bus ride after 9 hours.

Cuenca Cathedral is a significant monument in La Mancha, rich in history and architectural features. We will observe its Gothic façade with French influences. The cathedral, built over an Arab mosque in the 12th century, is the first Gothic cathedral in Castile.
Inside, you will appreciate the stained-glass windows and discover hidden treasures like the Renaissance cloister, high altar, and Sagrario Chapel.
