Segovia & Ávila Day Trip

We will meet at the specified point in the center of Madrid and depart north to Segovia.

Upon arrival in Segovia, those with the lunch option will enjoy a traditional meal. Others will have 1.5 hours of free time to explore, including the Roman aqueduct, which spans 16 kilometers (10 miles).

We will gather in front of the Segovia Cathedral and then walk through the Jewish quarter to the Alcazar of Segovia, where a guided tour will provide insights into the royal history. After the tour, we will head to Ávila.

Ávila, birthplace of Saint Teresa of Ávila, features the oldest city walls in Spain, built between the 11th and 14th centuries. The tour includes views of the 90 turrets and 2,500 meters (8,202 ft) of walls surrounding the old town, along with various Gothic palaces, Romanesque churches, and a 12th-century fortified cathedral.

The trip concludes with our return to Madrid after 9 hours.

On the 11 am tour, entry to the Walls and Alcázar is included without lunch.

As of March 16, 2026, the tour option with admission to the Walls of Ávila will no longer include a guide in Ávila. Post this date, the tour will have no guides in either city, allowing for free exploration while including entrance to the Walls of Ávila.
