Segovia Day Trip
When making your reservation, you can choose from the following options, which all depart from central Madrid.
5-Hour Tour
We'll leave Madrid in the direction of the Sierra de Guadarrama. After approximately 90 minutes, we'll arrive at our final destination, where we'll enjoy a walking tour through the historic centre of Segovia. On this walk, we'll see the city's most iconic monuments, such as the famous Aqueduct of Segovia. Do you know what the secret is to keep it standing after more than 2000 years?
We'll walk towards the Plaza Mayor, passing by the Casa de los Picos. Once there, we'll come across the cathedral of Segovia, built between the 16th and 18th centuries. Did you know that this temple is known as the Lady of the Cathedrals? We'll find out why!
There, depending on the option you choose, we'll take a guided tour inside the cathedral, or you'll have free time to enjoy Segovia at your own pace.
Next stop: the Alcázar of Segovia! In this former residence of the Castilian kings, we'll reveal some interesting facts about the different monarchs who have passed through there. If you have chosen the option with tickets, you'll be able to enter this fortress, and if not, you'll have free time in the surrounding area.
Once the visit to this palace is over, we'll return to the Spanish capital.
11-Hour Tour + Lunch
After meeting in Madrid, we'll hit the road towards Segovia, a city named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, enjoying a walking tour through its old town.
We'll continue our tour of the Castilian city with a guided tour of the Cathedral, with decades of history and legend contained inside. Be sure to pay attention to the details of the gothic style with Renaissance features!
Additionally, we'll visit the famous Alcázar of Segovia, and, afterward, we'll enjoy a traditional Castilian lunch. The menu includes La Granja beans as a starter, Segovian suckling pig as a main course, dessert, and a drink.
In the afternoon, we'll meet back up to return to Madrid, where we'll arrive after a total of 11 hours.
