Visit three historic cities in Spain on this day trip to Toledo, Segovia, and Ávila from Madrid.

Day Trip to Toledo, Segovia and Ávila

We will meet in the centre of Madrid and head to our first destination, Toledo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known as the City of Three Cultures, we will explore its old town, viewing the exterior of key landmarks including the Alcazar, the Cathedral of Toledo, and the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes. If possible, we will also visit the interior of the Cathedral.

Next, we will travel to Segovia, where you'll have free time for lunch. We will reconvene to see the Roman Aqueduct and admire the exterior of the cathedral. We will also visit the Alcazar of Segovia, a former royal residence.

Our final stop is Ávila, where we will explore this walled city and its historic centre. We will admire the city’s well-preserved walls, walk around the medieval citadel, and see Ávila Cathedral. We will finish by visiting the Mirador de los Cuatro Postes viewpoint for a scenic view of Ávila.

Finally, we will return to Madrid and conclude the tour after approximately 11 to 13 hours.

Itinerary Order

The order of visits may vary for organizational reasons. Occasionally, we may visit Segovia first, then Ávila for lunch, followed by Toledo before returning to Madrid.
