Bergamo and Lake Iseo Excursion
On this excursion, we will visit Lake Iseo and Montisola, the largest lake island in Europe, exploring a city that combines medieval and baroque elements.
We will meet at Piazza IV Novembre and board a bus to Lake Iseo. After approximately 2 hours, we will arrive at the fourth-largest lake in Lombardy. Here, we will take a ferry to Montisola, known for being the largest inhabited island in European lakes.
Upon arrival at Peschiera Miraglio, you will have 2 hours of free time to explore the island's villages, alleys, churches, and sample the local cuisine.
We will then regroup for another boat ride on Lake Iseo. After a 30-minute journey, we will disembark and board a bus to the Upper Town of Bergamo.
In Bergamo, we will spend another 2 hours in the historical center, where you can visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the medieval walls, the Cappella Colleoni, and Piazza Vecchia.
The excursion lasts approximately 10 hours, concluding at the starting point.
