At the scheduled time, we will meet at the Filarete Tower and proceed to the Castello Sforzesco. We will begin with an exterior view of this 14th-century fort, which later transformed into a ducal palace and was converted by the Sforza family into a notable fortress in Italy.
The tour includes exploring the castle's history, covering significant events such as the Milanese dispute over the castle, Napoleon’s order for its demolition, and its involvement in World War II.
We will also examine the contributions of renowned artists like Leonardo Da Vinci and Bramante. Notably, the Rondanini Pietà, Michelangelo's unfinished last work, will be highlighted.
This guided tour will conclude in the Castello Sforzesco area after 1.5 hours of exploring the various halls and rooms within this notable Milanese structure.
