The Last Supper. You've seen pictures, reproductions, and parodies. Leonardo's masterpiece is essential for visitors to Milan.
Last Supper Tour
This tour includes a visit to the Dominican church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, a 15th-century convent and UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the refectory of this church, Leonardo Da Vinci painted The Last Supper in the 1490s, commissioned by Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan.
The tour will guide you around the Santa Maria delle Grazie, showcasing Renaissance architecture and Bramante's Cloister, a serene area within the church. You will then admire the masterwork.
After nearly 500 years and surviving bombardments during the Second World War, The Last Supper is in a fragile state. Leonardo's biographer Giorgio Vasari noted it was "ruined" just sixty years after completion.
Restoration work has helped recover some of the painting's former glory, but access is limited. Reservations allow guaranteed entry without waiting in line, providing a unique opportunity to view this significant work of art.
Accompanied by an expert guide, you will receive insights into the painting's creation, preservation, significance, and history, ensuring a memorable experience.
