The Path of the Lemons Hike

Join us from Maiori on this hiking route along the Sentiero dei Limoni, or 'The Path of the Lemons', surrounded by the aromas of the Mediterranean as you admire the Amalfi Coast.

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Corso Reginna in Maiori to start our hiking route along The Path of the Lemons, a panoramic road featuring breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast.

We will begin by entering a pastry shop to taste a lemon dessert typical of the area. Afterwards, we will climb to the church of Santa Maria a Mare, dating back to the 12th century, and admire its dome from the outside.

Along the way, we will see the typical terraces, known as macerine, where lemon trees are cultivated traditionally. We will also encounter Roman ruins amidst Mediterranean vegetation, such as olive trees, vineyards, and pine trees.

After a short break for freshly made homemade lemonade, we will continue to the village of Torre, home to the church of San Michele Arcangelo, noted for the majority of lemon production.

Following a brief history of this village, we will take the path to Minori, where we will see the bell tower of the Basilica of Santa Trofimena, the village’s patron saint. The tale of her relics is memorable.

We will conclude our activity in Piazza Ettore e Gaetano Cantilena, in front of the church, after approximately 2.5 to 3 hours of walking.
