Caminito del Rey Day Trip

We'll meet at Avenida de Andalucía, at the bus stop 2009, and board a minibus to head northwest through the beautiful inland countryside of Malaga province. During the journey, we'll cross the Alcaparaín mountain range and see orange groves and various Andalusian white villages. A half-hour stop will be made in the village of Ardales for a short break.

For approximately 3 hours, we'll walk about 4.8 km (3 miles) along the Caminito del Rey from the northern access in Ardales, passing through several tunnels. We will enjoy views of the Guadalhorce reservoir and descend the renowned stairs of the Caminito del Rey. The tour will explore the geology, wildlife, and landscapes in the area. The suspended footbridge, nearly 340 ft (105 meters) above the Gaitanes Gorge, provides panoramic views of the Sierra de Málaga. The full route takes around 2.5-3 hours, with stops at viewpoints for photographs and information about the site.

After the tour, we will conclude the excursion at the starting point.

The Caminito del Rey has become a major tourist attraction since its restoration, resulting in very high demand and limited availability. It is advisable to book as early as possible to secure places on preferred dates.
