So said Pablo Ruiz Picasso, and what better place to embrace his art than in his birthplace, now a museum dedicated to showcasing his life? Within the walls of the artist's former home, you'll be immersed in the world of Picasso. Explore at your own pace, discovering the different rooms and the art and personal belongings of the painter with the explanations of an audioguide in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Chinese.
The museum rooms offer a thematic tour that explores Picasso's connection with Malaga. The influence of his hometown is clear in his personality and works. Notably, the sketchbooks, a large display of lithographs, and a collection of decorated ceramics are highlights. This flexible ticket grants access to both the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions, featuring unique collectibles signed by Picasso and other artists.
Opening times
After making a reservation, you can visit the museum anytime by presenting your voucher at the ticket office. The museum is open:
Every day of the year (including Sundays & holidays): 9:30 am - 8 pmDecember 24 & 31: 9:30 am - 3 pm
Note that these hours may change, and visitors are not admitted less than 15 minutes before closing.
Special Hours
From August 17th to 25th, during the Feria de Malaga, the museum will be open from 9:30 am to 3 pm (doors close at 2:30 pm).
