3-Day Private Tour of Mount Bromo & Ijen Volcano

Incredible landscapes, magical sunrises, and the curious phenomena of blue fire are the main attractions of this 3-day private tour of Mount Bromo and the Ijen volcano. You'll travel through one of the most mountainous and rugged areas on the island of Java.

Description

Day 1: Malang - Mount Bromo

We'll pick you up from your hotel or at Malang airport at the scheduled time and proceed to Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, where we will stay. The rest of the day is free to explore the green areas surrounding the hotel. Dinner will be served, and an early bedtime is advised for the following day's activities.

Day 2: Mount Bromo - Bondowoso

At 3 am, we will depart in a 4x4 vehicle to Mount Penanjakan for sunrise views over Mount Bromo, accompanied by coffee. After crossing the sea sand plain, we will head to the active crater of Mount Bromo, learning about its formation and enjoying views of Semeru. We will visit a Hindu temple and have breakfast at a local restaurant before traveling to Bondowoso, with a lunch stop along the way. The evening will be free in Bondowoso, located in the foothills of the Ijen volcano.

Day 3: Bondowoso - Ijen Volcano - Malang

We will start early to visit the Ijen volcano, enjoying a small picnic breakfast during our hike. A night-time trek of about an hour will lead us to the crater just before sunrise, where we will witness the blue fire phenomenon created by sulphuric gases. Afterward, we will return to Malang, stopping for lunch, and arrive between 4 pm and 5 pm.
