3 Day Tour of Mount Bromo & Ijen Volcano

Incredible landscapes, magical sunrises, and the curious phenomena of blue fire are the main attractions of this 3-day private tour of Mount Bromo and the Ijen volcano, traveling through one of the most mountainous areas on Java.

Description

Day 1: Malang - Mount Bromo

Pick-up from your hotel or Malang airport will occur at the scheduled time. We'll head towards Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, where we will stay. You'll have the rest of the day to explore the surrounding green areas. Have dinner and rest early for the next day's activities.

Day 2: Mount Bromo - Bondowoso

Rise at 3 am for a 4x4 ride to Mount Penanjakan. Witness the sunrise over Mount Bromo while enjoying warm coffee. We will cross the sea sand plain and proceed to the crater of the active Mount Bromo. After exploring, including a view of Semeru, we'll see a Hindu temple and have breakfast at a nearby restaurant. Afterwards, we’ll travel to Bondowoso with a lunch stop along the way. The evening is free in Bondowoso, located in the foothills of the Ijen volcano.

Day 3: Bondowoso - Ijen Volcano - Malang

The final day begins with an early start towards the Ijen volcano. Breakfast will be a small picnic as we hike, followed by a night-time trek of about one hour to reach the crater before sunrise. You'll witness the blue fire phenomenon, created by the reaction of sulphuric gases with oxygen. Our return journey to Malang will include a lunch stop, arriving between 4 pm and 5 pm.
