Day Trip to Villimale

We'll meet at the jetty and board a ferry which will take us to the island of Villimale.

In just 15 minutes, we'll reach the island, allowing you to explore one of the prettiest places near the capital. Despite their proximity, Malé and Villimale are worlds apart!

We'll walk around the island for approximately one hour, appreciating the relaxing streets. Additionally, we will meet members of Save the Beach, a local NGO, who focus on environmental preservation. You'll learn about their project and the importance of the environment to locals.

After exploring Villimale, we'll visit a beachside café to enjoy a traditional snack, hedika, which consists of small pastries and a cup of tea.

Before returning to the capital, you'll experience a breathtaking natural sunset from the tranquil surroundings of Villimale. Then, we will board the ferry and return to Malé, arriving 4 hours later.

Meeting Point

The meeting point will vary by season:

Up to October 31st, 2024: the meeting point will be at Malé jetty number 5, in front of the Bank of Ceylon.From November 1st, 2024: we'll meet at ferry terminal number 1 - Malé Jetty, in front of Plaza de la República.
