Day Trip to Villimale

We'll meet at the jetty and board a ferry which will take us to Villimale. In just 15 minutes we'll reach the island, allowing you to explore one of the prettiest places near the capital. Upon arrival, you'll notice the differences between Malé and Villimale.

We'll walk around the island for approximately one hour, admiring the beauty of its streets and meeting members of Save the Beach, a local NGO, focused on environmental preservation. You'll learn about their projects and the locals' commitment to the environment.

After exploring, we'll visit a beachside café for a hedika, a traditional snack featuring small pastries and a cup of tea. Before returning, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a breathtaking natural sunset. Then, we'll board the ferry again for our return to Malé, with an overall duration of 4 hours.

Meeting Point

The meeting point varies by season:

Up to October 31st, 2024: meet at Malé jetty number 5, in front of the Bank of Ceylon.From November 1st, 2024: meet at ferry terminal number 1 - Malé Jetty, in front of Plaza de la República.
