Day Trip to Villimale

We'll meet at the jetty and board a ferry to the island of Villimale.

In 15 minutes, we'll reach the island, allowing you to explore one of the prettiest places near the capital city. Despite their proximity, Malé and Villimale are worlds apart!

We'll walk around the island for approximately one hour, enjoying the beauty of the relaxing streets. You'll meet members of Save the Beach, a local NGO, who work to preserve the environment. You'll learn about their project and the importance of environmental care to locals.

After exploring Villimale, we’ll visit a beachside café to enjoy a delicious hedika, a traditional snack of pastries and tea.

Before returning to the capital, you'll witness a breathtaking natural sunset from the calm of Villimale. We'll then board the ferry and return to Malé, arriving 4 hours later.

The meeting point will depend on the season:

Until October 31st, 2024: at Malé jetty number 5, in front of the Bank of Ceylon.From November 1st, 2024: at ferry terminal number 1 - Malé Jetty, in front of Plaza de la República.
