Chania, Lake Kournas & Rethymno Excursion

At 7:30 am on the morning of the tour, we will gather at the meeting point in Malia. The tour will begin with a trip to western Crete to explore significant locations on the island.

Our first stop will be Chania, known as the 'mother of the Cretan cities.' During our 90-minute visit, we will explore the Old City, view the harbor, ancient Venetian fortifications, and Turkish mosques. In the modern part of Chania, you can experience local gastronomy and shop for souvenirs in the market.

Next, we will proceed to Lake Kournas, where we will have two hours to enjoy this freshwater lake, which is supplied by subterranean water from the Lefka Ori mountains. Activities include swimming and dining at a local restaurant.

Around 4:15 pm, we will continue to Rethymno, where we will explore key sites such as a 16th-century Venetian fortress, the Rimondi Fountain, and the Venetian Loggia.

The tour will conclude around 7:30 pm, returning to the meeting point in Malia.
