Heraklion & CretAquarium Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the indicated point in Malia. From there, we'll travel to Heraklion, the capital of Crete. This will include a guided tour highlighting the historical influences of the Byzantines, Ottomans, and Venetians.

Our guide will take us to the Koules Fortress, a defensive structure in the port built by the Venetians. The tour continues through the city center, where we will visit Lions Square, Vikelaia Municipal Library, Loggia, Municipal Art Gallery, and notable religious sites such as the Agia Ekaterini Church and Agios Minas Cathedral.

After exploring Heraklion, we'll head to the CretAquarium, the first large aquarium on the island. Here, you'll learn about the underwater world of Crete, featuring various species such as sharks, tuna, turtles, and manta rays.

At the end of the tour, we will return to Malia, totaling 7.5 hours for the excursion.
