Palace of Knossos & Lasithi Plateau Excursion
Your tour begins at 7:30 am with a pickup from the designated meeting point in Malia. We will travel to Heraklion to visit the Palace of Knossos, a key archaeological site in Crete.
Explore the palace complex of King Minos, featuring over 1,500 interconnected rooms. Highlights include the throne room, royal quarters, and the stone theater, while learning about the legend of the Cretan Minotaur.
View the murals preserved within, which are significant remnants of the ancient Minoans, recognized as Europe's most sophisticated early culture. After the Palace visit, we will board the bus to Lasithi Plateau to appreciate Crete's natural scenery.
We will stop at the Keras Kardiotissas Monastery, notable for its mural paintings, before continuing to see the iconic Venetian windmills in Lasithi's interior.
