Samaria Gorge Hiking Tour

On the morning of the tour, we will gather at the arranged meeting point in Malia. At 5:30 am, we will depart for Skaleta in a comfortable minibus. A stop will be made in Skaleta for breakfast before continuing to the Omalos Plateau.

Upon arrival, we'll start our hiking route through Samaria Gorge, beginning from Xyloskalo, over 1200 meters above sea level. For six or seven hours, you will explore Samaria National Park, with its Cypress forests, rock formations, and the waters of its streams and springs, along with the local wildlife and vegetation.

During the hike, we will encounter the famous Iron Gates, the narrowest section of the pass, ideal for photos. Our final stop will be the fishing village of Agia Roumeli, where you will have time to get lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, we will begin our return journey to Malia, arriving around 7:30 pm.
