Explore some of the most charming corners of the Cretan coastline and go for a swim in a beautiful bay on this excursion to Spinalonga and Kolokitha from Malia.

Spinalonga & Kolokitha Excursion

We'll meet at 8 am in Malia and head to Elounda harbor. There, we'll board a boat and set sail to the beach of Kolokitha, where we'll anchor for swimming and, optionally, enjoy a barbecue on board.

Next, we'll cross the bay of Mirabello to the island of Spinalonga, an abandoned site with a rich history during Venetian and Ottoman rule and various battles.

During the tour, we'll see the great fortress and imposing walls that protected this islet. Notably, it served as a leper colony in the early 20th century.

After learning about Cretan history, we'll take a bus back to Malia, arriving at around 7 pm.
