4x4 Tour and Hike in the Mampituba Canyons

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Sítio Cultural Museu da Estância, where we'll hop into a powerful 4x4 vehicle to begin this activity in the canyons of Mampituba. Adventure awaits!

We'll begin our journey of about 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) through the ancient Serra do Silveirão, a site which has many stories and legends associated with it. We'll learn all about them on the way.

We'll continue our 4x4 adventure at the Josafez farm, where we'll embark on a hiking route of around 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) along the eastern edge of the Josafez canyon. In this area, known as Garganta do Silveirão, we'll see the Lage waterfall and the Teimosa waterfall, as well as the native wildlife and flora.

Following the hike, we'll hop back into our 4x4 and head back to the starting point. Along the way, we'll stop at the Avião viewpoint, offering vistas of the surrounding landscapes, and visit the unique stone cemetery in the region.

After about 4 hours of activity, we'll conclude our tour of the Mampituba canyons at the starting point.
