Muharraq Private Day Trip
At 9 am, we'll meet you at your hotel in Manama. We'll drive to the neighbouring city of Muharraq, which was the capital of Bahrain until 1923.
The first stop will be at the house of Isa ibin Ali Al Khalifa, who ruled for 63 years. This 19th-century building has several rooms and courtyards that offer a glimpse into Bahrain's history.
Next, we'll visit the Shaikh Ebrahim Centre, a cultural space dedicated to philosophy, literature, and poetry, showcasing examples of beautiful Arabic calligraphy.
We'll also visit the Abdullah Al Zayed House, home of the founder of Bahrain's first newspaper. After exploring Bahrain's media history, we'll head to the Kurar House to learn about the interconnection of craftsmanship, family, and tradition.
If you'd like to do some shopping, our last stop will be at the Muharraq souq. We'll return to your hotel and conclude our day four hours after the start time.
