Muharraq Private Day Trip
At 9 am, we'll meet you at your hotel in Manama. We'll drive to the neighbouring city of Muharraq, which was the capital of Bahrain until 1923.
The first stop will be at the house of Isa ibin Ali Al Khalifa, who ruled the country for 63 years. This 19th-century building features several rooms and courtyards, providing insight into Bahrain's history.
Next, we'll head to the Shaikh Ebrahim Centre, a cultural space focused on philosophy, literature, and poetry. It showcases numerous examples of beautiful Arabic calligraphy.
We'll also visit the Abdullah Al Zayed House, home of the founder of the country's first newspaper. After learning about the history of Bahrain's media, we'll proceed to the Kurar House, where we'll explore how craftsmanship, family, and tradition are interwoven.
If you'd like to shop, our last stop will be the Muharraq souq. We'll return to your hotel and conclude the trip four hours after the start time.
