2 Day Amazon Tour
Day 1 - Río Negro
On the first day, we will pick you up from your hotel in Manaus to start this two-day adventure through the Amazon jungle. We will travel by car to Cachoeira do Castanho, then take a motorized canoe to our starting point for a two-and-a-half-hour hike. Our guide will point out various wildlife along the route.
After the hike, we will have lunch at a floating house along the Amazon River. The menu may include fish, chicken, rice, beans, spaghetti, and manioc flowers. After lunch, we will visit a pink dolphin research center. Following this, we will fish for piranhas before enjoying a sunset canoe ride. We will then attempt to spot nocturnal wildlife before staying the night with a local family in the jungle.
Day 2 - Amazon
We will wake up early to catch a sunrise over the jungle, followed by breakfast to start the day. On this day, we will use a faster boat to navigate a longer distance, with our first stop at an indigenous village to learn about their culture and daily life. During the dry season, we may visit a beautiful beach; during the rainy season, we will explore January Ecological Park for lunch at a floating restaurant.
If access to the restaurant is not possible, lunch will be at a different restaurant along the Río Negro. We will also visit a floating village at Lago do Catalão to see a fish farm featuring Pirarucu. To conclude, we will sail to the confluence of Río Negro and the Amazon before returning to Manaus around 5 pm.
